Based between Amsterdam and Berlin, Goblyns weave psychedelic hooks, infectious syncopated rhythms, krautrock hypnosis, and fuzzy funk into a sound all their own. The largely instrumental trio consists of brothers Liam and Francis Broek and their longtime friend Giovanni Votano, all of whom were born and raised in Gqeberha, South Africa. The band formed shortly after all three moved to Europe. Inspired by artists such as The Meters, Kikagaku Moyo, W.I.T.C.H, Sly Stone, and CAN, Goblyns create music without sonic boundaries.
Their debut album Hunki Bobo was released in May 2024 via Crazysane Records to critical acclaim, following their first steps in 2023 with the EP This Is Spaghettification. June 2025 saw the release of their further-developed second album Three Sisters. The excellent response to this genre-defying record took the trio to international festivals across Europe and a highly successful European tour.
“A balanced mix of mellow psych-rock, rich folk influences from around the world, and a subtle nod to the 60s surf and exotica scene.” - VISIONS MAGAZINE
Goblyns recently announced their long-awaited third album Who Do You Fight? . It is a tight, transformative, and immersive album with plenty of room to get lost in. The record is packed with infectious grooves, bouncy organs, and guitars drenched in a healthy dose of spaghetti-fuzz. In addition, the band dives deeper into traditional R&B songwriting. Frank’s vocals appear on half the tracks, adding an extra layer to the restless, dreamy landscape. Who Do You Fight? will be released on November 13, 2026, via Crazysane Records.
