KyoYoko is an electronic art-rock band from Beijing that blends industrial punk, electronica, new wave, post-punk, and free jazz into unpredictable, theatrical live shows. Since forming in 2020, the band has become a prominent name in the Beijing indie scene, and shortly before the release of their acclaimed debut album Gorrrre!, they won the title of Best New Band in 2021.
Since then, KyoYoko has taken their live show to international stages, such as Zandari Fest in Seoul and White Festival in Novosibirsk. On their second album, Mirrored Chamber, the band continues to explore the boundaries of their sound with a mix of satirical rock, experimental compositions, and more subdued moments. KyoYoko enjoys taking the road less traveled and resists being pigeonholed.
in collaboration with Yugofuturism
Yugofuturism focuses on connecting, exporting, and exchanging emerging acts from Central and Eastern Europe—from the Baltic states to the Balkans—with like-minded artists, venues, and new audiences. In addition to these shows, Yugofuturism launched the nomadic festival VIKENDICA, which brought a "convoi exceptionnel" of adventurous, emerging European acts to four iconic Dutch venues in a single weekend.
