TC.KYLIE x JOYA
somewhere between tour
07
December
Two Hong Kong-born artists, two musical worlds, and one unique collaboration, created especially for this Somewhere Between tour.
TC.KYLIE
TC.KYLIE’s return to Amsterdam feels like coming full circle. Her first performance outside the UK took place at Tolhuistuin Club, where she opened for Kyoto Jazz Massive. On December 7th, she returns as a co-headliner during her own 16-city album tour, before the journey continues to Asia and into 2027.
Her upcoming debut album RE:conciliation captures a lifetime through music, from an unexpected beginning and youthful rebellion to burnout, grief, acceptance, and returning to where it all started. The energetic sound moves between Hiromi-inspired jazz fusion, Japanese jazz-rock, retro-gaming textures, and the warmth of Studio Ghibli.
JOYA
JOYA’s latest EP, What If It All Works Out?, was released just before this tour and explores what it means to be childlike but not childish, hopeful but not naive, and to view optimism as an act of rebellion. Her shows are characterized by storytelling, playful interaction, and new arrangements of her indie-pop songs about love, being queer, faith, healing, and what it means to be human.
SOMEWHERE BETWEEN TOUR
For Somewhere Between the two sets are merged. JOYA’s personal tracks are reshaped with cinematic touches and jazz-rock grooves, while TC.KYLIE’s instrumentals are framed by Joya’s voice as an instrument.
Created specifically for this limited run, the arrangements are tailored to a venue like Cinetol: intimate, exploratory, and gone as soon as the tour moves on.
