Volunteers

Cinetol is always looking for volunteers. Our venue wouldn't be able to run at full capacity without our team of enthusiastic volunteers, who can be found behind the bar during concerts, at the box office, assisting with production and stage management, or capturing photos and other content at shows.

‍

As a volunteer at Cinetol, you get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a music venue and gain valuable experience. If you're a true music lover, you can make a significant contribution to our venue. We have a close-knit and engaged team with a diverse group of people. As a volunteer, you get free access to all concerts at Cinetol. We also regularly organize drinks and other activities for our volunteers.

‍

Check out the various volunteer roles we have available below. We appreciate every hour you can contribute to Cinetol, but most volunteers are available for 16 hours per month (approximately 2 shifts).

‍

BOX OFFICE

‍
As a box office volunteer, you are the first face visitors see upon arrival. You welcome the audience, check tickets, and answer questions. You enjoy interacting with people and love contributing to a pleasant and smooth start to the evening. You have a welcoming attitude, enjoy representing Cinetol, and ensure everyone feels at home. Cinetol is a place for everyone.
‍

‍

PRODUCTION

As a production volunteer, you work behind the scenes during concert nights. You help with welcoming bands, support stage management, and ensure the backstage area is ready for the artists. This is the perfect opportunity to gain experience in the production field and learn what goes into organizing a show. You work closely with the team and are right in the middle of the action.
‍

‍

SCHOREM
‍

SCHOREM is our program for fans of punk, garage rock, and anything with a raw edge. In this team, you will learn how to organize concerts yourself under the guidance of our programmer: from booking bands to coming up with a concept for an evening. You contribute to the programming and get the space to give your musical taste a platform. Ideal for those who want to learn more about programming and have a passion for the underground scene.
‍

‍

BAR

‍
As a bar volunteer, you work behind the bar in our main hall during concerts. Bar experience is a plus, but not required—as long as you're eager to learn. You enjoy interacting with people and contribute to the atmosphere of the evening. It's the perfect way to see a concert while being an active part of the team. If you're a go-getter and enjoy working during a concert, this is the role for you.
‍

‍

TECHNICAL
‍

Every show is led by a professional and experienced sound engineer, but we are always looking for volunteers to assist them. Do you want to gain more experience with stage technology, for example as a sound engineer or with lighting? Or would you like to help as a stagehand during setup and teardown? As a technical volunteer, you learn how a concert comes to life technically and work at the heart of the show.
‍

‍

COOKING CREW

‍
For our cooking crew, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our kitchen team on busy nights. Especially when multiple bands are playing and we are cooking for more than 20 artists, we can really use the extra help. Together, we ensure the bands feel welcome with a delicious, nutritious meal. If you enjoy being in the kitchen and contributing to Cinetol's hospitality, you'll fit right in.
