Café Palestina is an informal gathering where we come together for thematic discussions and lectures about the ongoing genocide and violent occupation in Palestine. Providing space for information, exchange, and solidarity.
In this edition of Café Palestina, we will explore how racist narratives use language to divide communities and create conflict between different groups in society. These narratives influence every layer of our lives - from conversations at the family dinner table to political power struggles and even the way food and resources are distributed. The speakers will examine these issues from both psychological and social perspectives: looking at how racism affects mental health and the psyche, while also exploring how language in the public sphere continues to reinforce and reproduce racist narratives.
